Second Federal Criminal Case Brought in Connection with Agridime
A federal grand jury in Fort Worth has indicted brothers Jason Link and Joshua Link on charges tied to an alleged scheme involving Agridime and a Kansas ranch operation known as Shady Brook Ranch.
The government alleges in the indictment that the Links caused Agridime to pay millions of dollars to Shady Brook Ranch for cattle “feed and care” services that were either already being provided by another entity or were never legitimately owed in the first place. The indictment claims the defendants used inflated invoices and misleading payment requests to direct company funds into a ranch account controlled by Jason Link.
Federal prosecutors say the scheme ran from late 2021 into early 2024 and resulted in more than $2.6 million in losses to Agridime. The indictment also alleges some of the money was used for personal expenses, including construction of a large home in Kansas and the purchase of a Hummer H2.
The charges include conspiracy to commit wire fraud, substantive wire fraud counts tied to specific bank transfers, and money laundering allegations connected to payments for construction and materials. Trial in this case is set for September 21, 2026, the same day that Josh Link and three other remaining defendants are scheduled to begin trial on the underlying Agridime matter alleging the operation of a multiyear Ponzi scheme at the company.
